JMS members in over 70 countries including Taiwan, Japan, the United States, filled Yeoui-daero. They are the biggest victim of biased and distorted broadcasting. Faith Stars are spreading the truth.

Eradicating fake news and carrying out a petition to collect 1 million signatures.

Members of the Christian Gospel Misson filled Yeoui-daero and held the “2023 Peace & Harmony Save-the-Nation Prayer Meeting” for the Nation and the World,” reminiscent of the past “1 million Yeouido Square revival rally.”

The Christian Gospel Mission (CGM), widely known as JMS, has been speaking out against the mental and material harm caused by the “witch hunt” style media reports and demanding a fair trial for Pastor Jeong Myeong Seok. Core members of the “Church Members’ Council” have carried this out in major cities such as Seoul, Daejeon, and Busan.

This Sunday, [October] the 15th, at Yeoui-daero, CGM headquarters hosted an event in which  overseas JMS members from all over the world and 200,000 people (estimated by the organizers) attended the Yeouido site. Members from over 70 countries also participated in the “Peace & Harmony Save-the-Nation Prayer Meeting” event through live broadcast.

A CGM official said that in 1994, when the civil war crisis escalated and the “Seoul Sea of Fire Theory,” which threatened to turn Seoul into a sea of fire, was triggered, Pastor Jeong Myeong Seok and JMS members prayed with tears in the open-space auditorium of Korea University. Citing an example of a time when people prayed for there to be no war in this country, they announced that CGM is a true organization that prays for this nation.

Pastor Jeong Yong seok, co-representative of CGM, delivered an opening speech, saying that CGM is celebrating its 45th anniversary this year after it was first founded in 1978.

Pastor Jeong Yong Seok, who serves as co-representative of CGM, said, “Since its founding in 1978, CGM is celebrating its 45th anniversary this year and has grown to about 200 churches in Korea and 73 countries around the world through the practice of God’s love. He said, “It has grown into a global Christian missionary organization with hundreds of thousands of people practicing faith.” He continued, “I took the time to earnestly pray to the Holy Trinity today with the hope that the horrors of war and the pain caused by the global disasters will disappear.”

Pastor Kwak Dong Won, the representative of the CGM Church Members’ Council, delivered a greeting, expressing the unfortunate reality that the truth about the trial has not yet been conveyed to the public, despite numerous efforts by the church members.

The CEO of the Church Members’ Council, Kwak Dong Won, said that there was a lot of effort to publicize the injustice done to Pastor Jeong Myeong Seok by holding one-person protests and numerous rallies in dozens of major cities and courts across the country in which church members voluntarily participated. However, despite all these efforts, he expressed the unfortunate reality that the truth about the trial has still not been conveyed to the majority of the public.

He expressed his sorrow over the Faith Stars, who are following Heaven’s path, becoming targets of ridicule and criticism by people of the world due to the false documentary, “In the Name of God: A Holy Betrayal,” which is tainted with lies and distortions.

On this day, foreign Faith Stars also participated and said in their appeal, “We only love God and Jesus, and we have dedicated our lives for the work of God. About our love, it is spiritual love between Jesus and us. It is absolutely not physical love.”

“Through the fake Netflix documentary “In the Name of God,” full of falsehoods and distortions, and the media’s witch hunt with unverified and unconfirmed false news reports, Pastor Jeong Myeong Seok’s reputation and our lives have been completely trampled upon.”

They expressed their sorrow, stating, “We, who chose the path of God’s Will, who were honorable and proud Faith Stars, have become targets of ridicule and criticism by the world.”

200,000 JMS members gathered in Yeouido are praying with clasped hands for national harmony and peace.

Pastor Lee Dae Hyun, who led the first stage of prayer, said, “Let us pray for world peace so that countless people will no longer lose their lives and suffer due to disputes, conflicts, and wars in today’s global village.” Pastor Baek Seung Min, who led the second stage of prayer, said that the Republic of Korea cannot find hope, and that this society has also lost its morals and conscience, and that there is no hope for the Republic of Korea if we no longer seek God’s righteousness and justice. He asked to pray for the country and people, quoting the Bible verse, “Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts.”

Even though hundreds of thousands of members gathered that day, they were well-mannered and organized, and led the high-quality event in the form of a more mature cultural citizen than any other organization. Not only the event staff but all members even cleaned up after the meeting.

In the current trial of Pastor Jeong Myeong Seok, JMS immediately appealed to the Supreme Court after the High Court decided to dismiss the “judge recusal request.” Based on the judgment of ordinary people, not subjective judgment, a request for recusal is legally guaranteed to be filed when “there is concern that a judge will conduct an unfair trial.”

CGM is urging the Court to accept the request because there are clear reasons for recusal, such as the judge predetermining guilt during court proceedings and making predicative remarks about guilt.
