Pastor Jung Myung-Seok is the founder of the Christian Gospel Mission (JMS). His faithful life of serving Jesus as the Messiah and the supreme teacher and also spreading God’s ministry for the past 46 years is evidenced by the testimonies of countless people who have watched him closely over the years. His life of living by “only the Lord God” and action rather than words is a model for the 200,000 members of CGM.
From 1978 to November 2024, Pastor Jung Myung-Seok has been preaching the Word of God, the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Son, Jesus in response to the return of Jesus in spirit. As a witness of Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit, he has overcome countless difficulties over the past 46 years to preach the gospel of the times.

He has treated people with compassion and pity, and other Christian pastors say that it is difficult to meet with people even in a church of 10,000 people, but he has met and mingled with the members of the Church without any authoritarianism and has done the work of Jesus together with them. He has also helped the poor and treated people justly, and he has worked hard by leading by example and has not been afraid to make sacrifices.
He has diligently spread the Word of life based on the Bible in Korea and to more than 70 countries around the world, spreading God’s providential history in a vast way, even though it was small at first.

However, he has been arrested and is on trial for sexual assault.
Pastor Jung Myung-Seok’s case is making a buzz in Korea. So what is the truth?
Pastor Jung Myung-Seok was detained in October 2022 on charges of sexual assault and has been on trial for more than two years now, first at trial and then on appeal. However, in the course of the appeals trial, which began in March this year, a number of compelling pieces of evidence were presented to the Court to prove Pastor Jung’s innocence, and it seemed to be revealing the shocking truth of a case that had been shrouded in lies and a vast conspiracy.
For years, Pastor Jung has fought a David-and-Goliath battle against the uncomfortable truths and prejudices surrounding him. He became embroiled in this case due to betrayal by a second-in-command figure and a conspiracy orchestrated by former members who had abandoned the mission organization. Fortunately, during the appeal trial process, a flood of evidence emerged to clarify his innocence.
Despite this, the appellate court handed down a severe sentence on October 2. Crucially, former member L submitted multiple documents to the appellate court, exposing the accusers and K’s coordinated effort to fabricate accusations. Although this material was accepted as evidence, the court, pressed for time, failed to adequately deliberate on it. The truth is bound to come to light, and Pastor Jung’s truth will likely remain as a permanent record in history.
Pastor Jung has now appealed to the Supreme Court, and it will be interesting to see what the Supreme Court decides.
20 Years of Monasticism and Reading the Bible
Finding Answers to Unsolved Biblical Problems
Pastor Jung has been going to church since he was a child. Through deep prayer and reading the Bible more than 2,000 times during his 20 years of monasticism, Pastor Jung unlocked the Bible, which had been sealed in parables. During his monastic life, he had an experience of meeting Jesus in spirit during deep prayer and was taught by Jesus that “the answers to the Bible are in the Bible,” and he read the Bible more intensely to find answers to biblical questions that had been unsolved.
Spreading the Gospel to the World’s 70+ Countries… Evangelizing Many of the Elite
Breaking New Ground in the Christian World with a History of Reviving Lives
For the past 46 years, Pastor Jung Myung-Seok has been spreading God’s providential work by preaching the gospel in Korea and in more than 70 countries around the world. He came to Seoul in June 1978 and began preaching to young people who were thirsty for the Word of God as described in the Old Testament book of Amos, and gradually expanded the church one by one and has reached the present status.
He was able to bring about such a revival of life because he explained the Bible in terms of science, common sense, and reason, and solved life’s problems through practical living and the Word of Truth, whereas the established churches imposed unconditional faith in parts of the Bible that did not make sense. As a result, many young people and elites were evangelized.
However, the established Christian world was envious of him because he preached differently, so he was considered a heretic and had to suffer like many people in the Bible. Nevertheless, he overcame these sufferings and tribulations and built the Natural Temple of God in Wolmyeongdong, which is visited by more than one million people from all over the world every year, and opened a new horizon in the Christian world by unfolding God’s new history.
National Hero Who Fought Twice in Vietnam… Practicing “Love of Lives”
His Comrade in Arms’ Testimony on Pastor Jung Praying to God for Lives on the Battlefield
Pastor Jung Myung-Seok served twice in the Vietnam War and demonstrated God’s love and peace on the battlefield.
Pastor Jung is also a national hero who served twice in the Vietnam War. He testifies that he was in more than 60 situations where he was sure to die, but with God’s help, he came back alive. His comrades-in-arms who fought in the Vietnam War testify that he prayed to God for lives during the war and always read the Bible.
General Chae Myung-Shin, the commander of the South Korean army, endorsed Pastor Jung’s book, “War Was Cruel. Love and Peace,” a testimony of God’s miracles in the Vietnam War. He inspiredly described how Pastor Jung witnessed and experienced God’s salvation. In a war where killing the enemy was the only way to save his own life, Pastor Jung fought a war of peace, not killing even the enemy.
